In an underworld of weapons dealers and traffickers, a young boy becomes the pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. Trapped by kidnappers inside one of the world’s most impenetrable cities, his rescue beckons the unparalleled skill of a mercenary named Tyler Rake, but Rake is a broken man with nothing to lose, harboring a death wish that makes an already deadly mission near impossible.
As an ex military guy who has done some tours and has been involved in contacts/shooting
seen wounds and effects of gunfire… it has always been a true pain to watch movies where they portray warfare…its cartoonish and ridiculous with no realism.
BUT this movie…was diffrent…it was not painful to watch and effects were kept realistic…hitting, explosions from 40mm launcher..bullet damage and penetrations etc.
I give it 8/10 for this realism.
-2 points for the “hero” ending…and surviving a shot in the neck from 7.62×39
was that tyler in the background in the final scene? i was thinking there was no way ovi could be allowed to live with everything that had happened, and even if the gang boss died, he would have to die too. so, at the same instant i felt the person standing there was tyler, it occurred to me it could be the person who had come to kill ovi.
Good
