Loved the first movie, really loved this one! While Lysette Anthony is not as well-known as Karen Black, she does a great job of pulling off the lead roles in these 3 terrifying tales, which I find scarier than those that made up the first movie! Story One: The Graveyard Rats: A greedy woman and her lover plot her disabled, wealthy husband’s demise, a plan that goes off without a hitch… until they realize they must pay a midnight visit to the graveyard to obtain their means of inheriting the money. Short after their arrival, they come face to face with the bloodthirsty evil lurking beneath the cemetery. Story Two: Bobby: A grieving woman uses witchcraft to resurrect her dead son. It proves to be the worst mistake of her life as Bobby plunges her into a suspenseful, heart-stopping night of terror. Story Three: He Who Kills: The bizarre, nightmarish doll from the first film is back… and no one is safe from his ghastly, horrifying rampage, not even the woman who unintentionally resurrected him. 3 more shockers as only tv horror maestro Dan Curtis could direct them: with style, terrific special effects, brilliantly unpredictable twists and turns, and great performances from talented actors, including Lysette Anthony. Karen Black is a better actress, but as I said earlier, Anthony proves VERY capable of carrying this entire movie. If you’re a fan of the original, don’t miss this spine-chilling sequel!
